Fashion weeks - my take.

The last few weeks were really busy in a fashion sense. So many runways so many outfits to blog about!
The fashion weeks around the world reveal both the new Spring 2011 collections and all the interesting outfits the celebs are donning.
This one is my favorite Blake Lively attending NY fashion week.

I love this turquoise mini leather skirt, rocker but in a feminine kind of way. And this peacock blouse only adds a unique style. I wasn't sure about the shoes but it all works together.

These are some outfits from the runway. I can't remember the designer but this is defiantly repeating trends on the fashion week: leather, leather and more leather, brown is a dominant color as well and stripes.

I love those leather jackets! And surprisingly my sister just bought me similar one from her last NY visit.

Since we're on that subject I also got this lovely top. I paired it with elegant high waist pants. And here's the result.

Before we say good bye here are some of my sister's shopping successes.

Here and There

**Don't forget to play my mood song on your left while you visit my blog

It's been a while!!! And I really missed writing here.
It's a very exciting fashion time with the NY fashion week and the fall collections right around the corner so there are many good stuff to write about.

Let's begin with the last few days which were mix'n match of summer and fall.
I took advantage of some sunny day to wear this crochet sleeveless top. Of course with the office AC I had to pair it with my boyfriend jacket which will probably be very useful this fall season as well.

Legging - Munich , crochet top - forever21, sandals - nine west, boyfriend jacket - pimkie.

Then came a more cloudy day and I dived into my fall closet with pleasure! Found my leopard printed scarf and that was exactly what was missing for my outfit.

Unknown branded black barmuda, white blouse - unknown NY boutique, scarf - h&m, brown pumps - golf, black bag - Steve madden.

The last outfit for this post was inspired by this outfit from the new Zara fall collection (you really have to get the Zara iPhone app!!!)

So it's still hot out there so I didn't use the full fury vest :) but I really loved how the belt added character to the outfit.

Going to see a Play and then some....

On Friday we had tickets to see the play "Servant of Two Masters". It was very funny and well directed. Recommended!
Then we went for drinks at "Otto78", a new neighborly bar in Tel Aviv.
I oped for a casual but smart outfit to go to both places, and this is what came out. What do you think ?

Going Out

I've been stocking up on those going out outfits, and now that my exams are almost over its time to give you a glimpse.
One of the reasons I love fashion so much is that I love dressing up! I love the preparations and thinking about what to wear, the inspiration throughout the day, and trying out everything. In our little country we don't have many occasions to dress up for and I mean really dress up the way I love, so the outfits you will see below are a bit adjusted to our atmosphere.
But I promise to give some sense of glamor in the next posts, why else we have all those abroad premieres :) (SATC2....)

First outfit was taken when it was still cold outside, hence the boots.
This high waist skirt is so useful and I just love it, though I'm not sure how much it fits the israeli summer so you might not see me in it for the next couple of months.

hight waist jeans skirt - Zara, ruffles blouse - Forever21, boots - Bakers

Next we have that leopard dress\tonic. I really love leopard prints I feel it livens up the outfit whether its for a casual hangin out with jeans or with leggings for a more edgy look .

leopard tonic - H&M, high heel shoes - Aldo

The next outfit is one of my favorites. The red hot mini with the peep-toe half shoes half stripy boots is a look I love. I found these shoes during a work trip to Manchester in a tinny little store that I never imagined I would enter....and now I would love to go back to :)
I think the black loosy shirt with the belt give the look a more classic tone, at least I hope so but you tell me...

Red mini skirt, black shirt, black belt- H&M, peep-toe shoes - unknown shop in Manchester.

This look was more of a brunch going out kind of thing.
I really love the combination of short with boots, and these short have a classy look I like.
Paired with the black belt, black lacy tank top and my favorite cowboy's boots I love the diversity of this outfit.

Hmmmm old items from the US....can't remember the brand.

Last but not least is one of my latest purchases. Stripy colorful dress that I think just waited for the summer to come to be sold to me!
I've always loved the grey and pink combinations and pairing those with the denim sanals really added a touch.

Dress - small boutique in Bangkok, Denim Sandals - Pimkie

Thats not all for going out, now that summer is here you can expect more going out posts...

See you

US Shopping Spree

I was at Columbus Ohio on a work trip when I wrote this. Haven't been to the US for about a year and a half (since my honeymoon). I forgot how everything is big out here and you can always count on a nearby mall to have all you ever dreamed of. Well this time I was a little disappointed not fashionwise but I was hoping to buy a new polar watch which I couldn't find anywhere :(
Also I really wanted to see the new Ipad and a friend asked me to buy one too but no luck in that area either.
I was however successful with my other shopping!
It is always very exciting to come across some new items that you had your mind set on.
Here are some pics of my buys

This to give you some sense of my buys, we have the new bath&body works new fragrance body lotion Deep Aqua which is sooo good, very usefull hands sanitizer, lovely Forever21 sunglasses (I keep breaking mine), black floral head band from H&M and 2 gorgeous aligaror like wallets from Forever21 as well. I personally prefer the red one, more of a wow effect.

Now the clothes

This Crochet dress (or long tonic) really caught my eye at Forever21. It has very nice texture and real summery look I already have few outfits in mind for it...

Next

This H&M stripy dress was so comfy and I realy like the blue-red-gold color combination. Can't wait to wear it!!

And last but not least I know the gladiator sandals are very last season but still... I love those goldy sandals so I had to get them

All in all very productive shopping and it was fun too

See you

Met Ball - My Picks

The Metropolitan Costume Ball held his yearly event.
Last year Madonna showed up with her Marc Jacobs bunny ears. No such surprises this year.
But on the other hand some great gowns on the red carpet.
I gathered my favorites... So inspiring!!!

Anne Hathaway wore Valentino
Sarah Jessica Parker in a gown by Halston (I know I'm going to start follow this designer)
Nicole Richie wore Marc Jacobs from the Fall 2010 collection.
Chloe Sevigny wore a lacy Proenza Schouler dress

While going through all the ladies and all the outfits I realized its not only about the outfit, but the outfit has to fit the one that wears it.
The reoccurring elements are definitely : dresses with middle slit, body color dresses.

I wish one day I can go to such an event....

Last days of coldness

The weather is warming up and you can even go to the beach on a good day (yay!). So these days is your last chance to enjoy your favorite winter clothes, and it's my chance to flaunt my newly purchases just before it gets too hot.

Jeans - Diesel, polo white shirt, cardigan - Zara, my ballet red flats.

So I was inspired by Katie Holmes trend of rolled up jeans. At first I didn't like this trend it seemed as though Katie was too lazy to shorten her pants :) but then I got it! It makes the look lighter, it really fits the in between seasons!
Like this day.
It turned out to be very comfortable with the flats.

Before I go, have you been to the H&M store(s) opened lately (in IL).... I havent, I only heard the clothes are from the last season....

Other then that what would you think about "Guess The Celeb" corner? Would you participate?

Feel free to tweet back @advarotstein

Have a "stripey" day

So it's 6 days to Thailand and I really wanted to wear this new stripey shirt I got from h&m (not from Israel store... I'm not that crazy) before I leave. I was surprised and happy to find it's sholders really stick up which really gives the shirt a sophisticated look.
I paired it with my boyfriend vest and it did the job. The bonus was that it turned out to be a really comfy outfit!
Take a look

Crazy days

So the past two weeks were really crazy from all aspects. I got a promotion at work and there's no time to breath, another MBA semester started and so I'm not very fashion focused and I don't take any pics :( no time for my beloved blog. But today even though the weather was crazy (is it really March?!?) I was inspired with this outfit.

Pink dress by Tom Salame, brown cardigan by h&m and brown velvet boots by pimkie.

I really got into the spring spirit with all this heat and wanted to wear a weavy comfy dress but I knew I may freeze with the office AC so I topped it with this cozy cardigan. I added the boots cause they felt more appropriate with the cardigan. So what do you think?

Bye
